Why we started Florida Silver Support
Bruce began his IT career at the age of fourteen working for a corporate technology company. While he gained valuable technical experience, he quickly realized the work wasn’t centered around helping people in a meaningful, hands-on way.
During this time, he also began assisting elderly neighbors with everyday technology issues. What started as casual help setting up devices, fixing email problems, and troubleshooting basic tech quickly became the most rewarding part of his work. He found that many people weren’t struggling because they lacked ability, but because they simply needed someone patient enough to explain things clearly.
Encouraged by a neighbor who recognized his natural approach, Bruce decided to build something focused on that kind of support. That idea became Silver Support.
Silver Support was founded in Tallahassee to provide straightforward, respectful technology help to the local community. The vision behind it is simple: make technology less intimidating and more accessible by offering real, human support instead of rushed fixes, automated systems, or one-size-fits-all solutions.
